وَالطُّوۡرِۙ‏

Wa Aţ-Ţūri

By the mount

وَكِتٰبٍ مَّسۡطُوۡرٍۙ‏

Wa Kitābin Masţūrin

And [by] a Book inscribed

فِيۡ رَقٍّ مَّنۡشُوۡرٍۙ‏

Fī Raqqin Manshūrin

In parchment spread open

وَّالۡبَيۡتِ الۡمَعۡمُوۡرِۙ‏

Wa Al-Bayti Al-Ma`mūri

And [by] the frequented House

وَالسَّقۡفِ الۡمَرۡفُوۡعِۙ‏

Wa As-Saqfi Al-Marfū`i

And [by] the heaven raised high

وَالۡبَحۡرِ الۡمَسۡجُوۡرِۙ‏

Wa Al-Baĥri Al-Masjūri

And [by] the sea filled [with fire]

اِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌۙ‏

Inna `Adhāba Rabbika Lawāqi`un

Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur

مَّا لَهٗ مِنۡ دَافِعٍۙ‏

Mā Lahu Min Dāfi`in

Of it there is no preventer

يَّوۡمَ تَمُوۡرُ السَّمَآءُ مَوۡرًا

Yawma Tamūru As-Samā'u Mawrāan

On the Day the heaven will sway with circular motion

وَّتَسِيۡرُ الۡجِبَالُ سَيۡرًاؕ‏

Wa Tasīru Al-Jibālu Sayrāan

And the mountains will pass on, departing

فَوَيۡلٌ يَّوۡمَئِذٍ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِيۡنَۙ‏

Fawaylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhibīna

Then woe, that Day, to the deniers

الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ فِيۡ خَوۡضٍ يَّلۡعَبُوۡنَۘ‏

Al-Ladhīna Hum Fī Khawđin Yal`abūna

Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves

يَوۡمَ يُدَعُّوۡنَ اِلٰي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّاؕ‏

Yawma Yuda``ūna 'Ilá Nāri Jahannama Da``āan

The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say]

هٰذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِيۡ كُنۡتُمۡ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ

Hadhihi An-Nāru Allatī Kuntum Bihā Tukadhibūna

This is the Fire which you used to deny

اَفَسِحۡرٌ هٰذَا٘ اَمۡ اَنۡتُمۡ لَا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ

Afasiĥrun Hādhā 'Am 'Antum Lā Tubşirūna

Then is this magic, or do you not see

اِصۡلَوۡهَا فَاصۡبِرُوۡ٘ا اَوۡ لَا تَصۡبِرُوۡاۚ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡكُمۡؕ اِنَّمَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ مَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ

Aşlawhā Fāşbirū 'Aw Lā Taşbirū Sawā'un `Alaykum 'Innamā Tujzawna Mā Kuntum Ta`malūna

[Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do

اِنَّ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ فِيۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّنَعِيۡمٍۙ‏

Inna Al-Muttaqīna Fī Jannātin Wa Na`īmin

Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure

فٰكِهِيۡنَ بِمَا٘ اٰتٰىهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡۚ وَوَقٰىهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ عَذَابَ الۡجَحِيۡمِ

Fākihīna Bimā 'Ātāhum Rabbuhum Wa Waqāhum Rabbuhum `Adhāba Al-Jaĥīmi

Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire

كُلُوۡا وَاشۡرَبُوۡا هَنِيۡٓـًٔاۭ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَۙ‏

Kulū Wa Ashrabū Hanī'āan Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna

[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do

مُتَّكِـِٕيۡنَ عَلٰي سُرُرٍ مَّصۡفُوۡفَةٍۚ وَزَوَّجۡنٰهُمۡ بِحُوۡرٍ عِيۡنٍ

Muttaki'īna `Alá Sururin Maşfūfatin Wa Zawwajnāhum Biĥūrin `Īnin

They will be reclining on thrones lined up, and We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes

وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَاتَّبَعَتۡهُمۡ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمۡ بِاِيۡمَانٍ اَلۡحَقۡنَا بِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ وَمَا٘ اَلَتۡنٰهُمۡ مِّنۡ عَمَلِهِمۡ مِّنۡ شَيۡءٍؕ كُلُّ امۡرِئٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِيۡنٌ

Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Attaba`at/hum Dhurrīyatuhum Bi'īmānin 'Alĥaqnā Bihim Dhurrīyatahum Wa Mā 'Alatnāhum Min `Amalihim Min Shay'in Kullu Amri'in Bimā Kasaba Rahīnun

And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained

وَاَمۡدَدۡنٰهُمۡ بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَّلَحۡمٍ مِّمَّا يَشۡتَهُوۡنَ

Wa 'Amdadnāhum Bifākihatin Wa Laĥmin Mimmā Yashtahūna

And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire

يَتَنَازَعُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا كَاۡسًا لَّا لَغۡوٌ فِيۡهَا وَلَا تَاۡثِيۡمٌ

Yatanāza`ūna Fīhā Ka'sāan Lā Laghwun Fīhā Wa Lā Ta'thīmun

They will exchange with one another a cup [of wine] wherein [results] no ill speech or commission of sin

وَيَطُوۡفُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غِلۡمَانٌ لَّهُمۡ كَاَنَّهُمۡ لُؤۡلُؤٌ مَّكۡنُوۡنٌ

Wa Yaţūfu `Alayhim Ghilmānun Lahum Ka'annahum Lu'ulu'uun Maknūnun

There will circulate among them [servant] boys [especially] for them, as if they were pearls well-protected

وَاَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلٰي بَعۡضٍ يَّتَسَآءَلُوۡنَ

Wa 'Aqbala Ba`đuhum `Alá Ba`đin Yatasā'alūna

And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other

قَالُوۡ٘ا اِنَّا كُنَّا قَبۡلُ فِيۡ٘ اَهۡلِنَا مُشۡفِقِيۡنَ

Qālū 'Innā Kunnā Qablu Fī 'Ahlinā Mushfiqīna

They will say, "Indeed, we were previously among our people fearful [of displeasing Allah]

فَمَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيۡنَا وَوَقٰىنَا عَذَابَ السَّمُوۡمِ

Famanna Allāhu `Alaynā Wa Waqānā `Adhāba As-Samūmi

So Allah conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire

اِنَّا كُنَّا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ نَدۡعُوۡهُؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡبَرُّ الرَّحِيۡمُࣖ‏

Innā Kunnā Min Qablu Nad`ūhu 'Innahu Huwa Al-Barru Ar-Raĥīmu

Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful

فَذَكِّرۡ فَمَا٘ اَنۡتَ بِنِعۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَّلَا مَجۡنُوۡنٍؕ‏

Fadhakkir Famā 'Anta Bini`mati Rabbika Bikāhinin Wa Lā Majnūnin

So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman

اَمۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهٖ رَيۡبَ الۡمَنُوۡنِ

Am Yaqūlūna Shā`irun Natarabbaşu Bihi Rayba Al-Manūni

Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time

قُلۡ تَرَبَّصُوۡا فَاِنِّيۡ مَعَكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡمُتَرَبِّصِيۡنَؕ‏

Qul Tarabbaşū Fa'innī Ma`akum Mina Al-Mutarabbişīna

Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters

اَمۡ تَاۡمُرُهُمۡ اَحۡلَامُهُمۡ بِهٰذَا٘ اَمۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٌ طَاغُوۡنَۚ‏

Am Ta'muruhum 'Aĥlāmuhum Bihadhā 'Am Hum Qawmun Ţāghūna

Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people

اَمۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ تَقَوَّلَهٗۚ بَلۡ لَّا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَۚ‏

Am Yaqūlūna Taqawwalahu Bal Lā Yu'uminūna

Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe

فَلۡيَاۡتُوۡا بِحَدِيۡثٍ مِّثۡلِهٖ٘ اِنۡ كَانُوۡا صٰدِقِيۡنَؕ‏

Falya'tū Biĥadīthin Mithlihi 'In Kānū Şādiqīna

Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful

اَمۡ خُلِقُوۡا مِنۡ غَيۡرِ شَيۡءٍ اَمۡ هُمُ الۡخٰلِقُوۡنَؕ‏

Am Khuliqū Min Ghayri Shay'in 'Am Humu Al-Khāliqūna

Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]

اَمۡ خَلَقُوا السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَۚ بَلۡ لَّا يُوۡقِنُوۡنَؕ‏

Am Khalaqū As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Bal Lā Yūqinūna

Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain

اَمۡ عِنۡدَهُمۡ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ اَمۡ هُمُ الۡمُصَۜيۡطِرُوۡنَؕ‏

Am `Indahum Khazā'inu Rabbika 'Am Humu Al-Musayţirūna

Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]

اَمۡ لَهُمۡ سُلَّمٌ يَّسۡتَمِعُوۡنَ فِيۡهِۚ فَلۡيَاۡتِ مُسۡتَمِعُهُمۡ بِسُلۡطٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍؕ‏

Am Lahum Sullamun Yastami`ūna Fīhi Falya'ti Mustami`uhum Bisulţānin Mubīnin

Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority

اَمۡ لَهُ الۡبَنٰتُ وَلَكُمُ الۡبَنُوۡنَؕ‏

Am Lahu Al-Banātu Wa Lakumu Al-Banūna

Or has He daughters while you have sons

اَمۡ تَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡ اَجۡرًا فَهُمۡ مِّنۡ مَّغۡرَمٍ مُّثۡقَلُوۡنَؕ‏

Am Tas'aluhum 'Ajrāan Fahum Min Maghramin Muthqalūna

Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down

اَمۡ عِنۡدَهُمُ الۡغَيۡبُ فَهُمۡ يَكۡتُبُوۡنَؕ‏

Am `Indahumu Al-Ghaybu Fahum Yaktubūna

Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down

اَمۡ يُرِيۡدُوۡنَ كَيۡدًاؕ فَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا هُمُ الۡمَكِيۡدُوۡنَؕ‏

Am Yurīdūna Kaydāan Fa-Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Humu Al-Makīdūna

Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan

اَمۡ لَهُمۡ اِلٰهٌ غَيۡرُ اللّٰهِؕ سُبۡحٰنَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُوۡنَ

Am Lahum 'Ilahun Ghayru Allāhi Subĥāna Allāhi `Ammā Yushrikūna

Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him

وَاِنۡ يَّرَوۡا كِسۡفًا مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا يَّقُوۡلُوۡا سَحَابٌ مَّرۡكُوۡمٌ

Wa 'In Yaraw Kisfāan Mina As-Samā'i Sāqiţāan Yaqūlū Saĥābun Markūmun

And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up

فَذَرۡهُمۡ حَتّٰي يُلٰقُوۡا يَوۡمَهُمُ الَّذِيۡ فِيۡهِ يُصۡعَقُوۡنَۙ‏

Fadharhum Ĥattá Yulāqū Yawmahumu Al-Ladhī Fīhi Yuş`aqūna

So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible

يَوۡمَ لَا يُغۡنِيۡ عَنۡهُمۡ كَيۡدُهُمۡ شَيۡـًٔا وَّلَا هُمۡ يُنۡصَرُوۡنَؕ‏

Yawma Lā Yughnī `Anhum Kayduhum Shay'āan Wa Lā Hum Yunşarūna

The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped

وَاِنَّ لِلَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا عَذَابًا دُوۡنَ ذٰلِكَ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ

Wa 'Inna Lilladhīna Žalamū `Adhābāan Dūna Dhālika Wa Lakinna 'Aktharahum Lā Ya`lamūna

And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know

وَاصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ فَاِنَّكَ بِاَعۡيُنِنَا وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ حِيۡنَ تَقُوۡمُۙ‏

Wa Aşbir Liĥukmi Rabbika Fa'innaka Bi'a`yuninā Wa Sabbiĥ Biĥamdi Rabbika Ĥīna Taqūmu

And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise

وَمِنَ الَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡهُ وَاِدۡبَارَ النُّجُوۡمِࣖ‏

Wa Mina Al-Layli Fasabbiĥhu Wa 'Idbāra An-Nujūmi

And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars
