١

وَيۡلٌ لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِيۡنَۙ‏

Waylun Lilmuţaffifīna

Woe to those who give less [than due]

٢

الَّذِيۡنَ اِذَا اكۡتَالُوۡا عَلَي النَّاسِ يَسۡتَوۡفُوۡنَؗۖ‏

Al-Ladhīna 'Idhā Aktālū `Alá An-Nāsi Yastawfūna

Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full

٣

وَاِذَا كَالُوۡهُمۡ اَوۡ وَّزَنُوۡهُمۡ يُخۡسِرُوۡنَؕ‏

Wa 'Idhā Kālūhum 'Aw Wazanūhum Yukhsirūna

But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss

٤

اَلَا يَظُنُّ اُولٰٓئِكَ اَنَّهُمۡ مَّبۡعُوۡثُوۡنَۙ‏

Alā Yažunnu 'Ūla'ika 'Annahum Mab`ūthūna

Do they not think that they will be resurrected

٥

لِيَوۡمٍ عَظِيۡمٍۙ‏

Liyawmin `Ažīmin

For a tremendous Day

٦

يَّوۡمَ يَقُوۡمُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَؕ‏

Yawma Yaqūmu An-Nāsu Lirabbi Al-`Ālamīna

The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds

٧

كَلَّا٘ اِنَّ كِتٰبَ الۡفُجَّارِ لَفِيۡ سِجِّيۡنٍؕ‏

Kallā 'Inna Kitāba Al-Fujjāri Lafī Sijjīnin

No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen

٨

وَمَا٘ اَدۡرٰىكَ مَا سِجِّيۡنٌؕ‏

Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Sijjīnun

And what can make you know what is sijjeen

٩

كِتٰبٌ مَّرۡقُوۡمٌؕ‏

Kitābun Marqūmun

It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

١٠

وَيۡلٌ يَّوۡمَئِذٍ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِيۡنَۙ‏

Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhibīna

Woe, that Day, to the deniers

١١

الَّذِيۡنَ يُكَذِّبُوۡنَ بِيَوۡمِ الدِّيۡنِؕ‏

Al-Ladhīna Yukadhibūna Biyawmi Ad-Dīni

Who deny the Day of Recompense

١٢

وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهٖ٘ اِلَّا كُلُّ مُعۡتَدٍ اَثِيۡمٍۙ‏

Wa Mā Yukadhibu Bihi 'Illā Kullu Mu`tadin 'Athīmin

And none deny it except every sinful transgressor

١٣

اِذَا تُتۡلٰي عَلَيۡهِ اٰيٰتُنَا قَالَ اَسَاطِيۡرُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَؕ‏

Idhā Tutlá `Alayhi 'Āyātunā Qāla 'Asāţīru Al-'Awwalīna

When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples

١٤

كَلَّا بَلۡࣝ رَانَ عَلٰي قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا يَكۡسِبُوۡنَ

Kallā Bal Rāna `Alá Qulūbihim Mā Kānū Yaksibūna

No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning

١٥

كَلَّا٘ اِنَّهُمۡ عَنۡ رَّبِّهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٍ لَّمَحۡجُوۡبُوۡنَؕ‏

Kallā 'Innahum `An Rabbihim Yawma'idhin Lamaĥjūbūna

No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned

١٦

ثُمَّ اِنَّهُمۡ لَصَالُوا الۡجَحِيۡمِؕ‏

Thumma 'Innahum Laşālū Al-Jaĥīmi

Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire

١٧

ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هٰذَا الَّذِيۡ كُنۡتُمۡ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوۡنَؕ‏

Thumma Yuqālu Hādhā Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tukadhibūna

Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny

١٨

كَلَّا٘ اِنَّ كِتٰبَ الۡاَبۡرَارِ لَفِيۡ عِلِّيِّيۡنَؕ‏

Kallā 'Inna Kitāba Al-'Abrāri Lafī `Illīyīna

No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun

١٩

وَمَا٘ اَدۡرٰىكَ مَا عِلِّيُّوۡنَؕ‏

Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā `Illīyūna

And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun

٢٠

كِتٰبٌ مَّرۡقُوۡمٌۙ‏

Kitābun Marqūmun

It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

٢١

يَّشۡهَدُهُ الۡمُقَرَّبُوۡنَؕ‏

Yash/haduhu Al-Muqarrabūna

Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]

٢٢

اِنَّ الۡاَبۡرَارَ لَفِيۡ نَعِيۡمٍۙ‏

Inna Al-'Abrāra Lafī Na`īmin

Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure

٢٣

عَلَي الۡاَرَآئِكِ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَۙ‏

Alá Al-'Arā'iki Yanžurūna

On adorned couches, observing

٢٤

تَعۡرِفُ فِيۡ وُجُوۡهِهِمۡ نَضۡرَةَ النَّعِيۡمِۚ‏

Ta`rifu Fī Wujūhihim Nađrata An-Na`īmi

You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure

٢٥

يُسۡقَوۡنَ مِنۡ رَّحِيۡقٍ مَّخۡتُوۡمٍۙ‏

Yusqawna Min Raĥīqin Makhtūmin

They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed

٢٦

خِتٰمُهٗ مِسۡكٌؕ وَفِيۡ ذٰلِكَ فَلۡيَتَنَافَسِ الۡمُتَنٰفِسُوۡنَؕ‏

Khitāmuhu Miskun Wa Fī Dhālika Falyatanāfasi Al-Mutanāfisūna

The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete

٢٧

وَمِزَاجُهٗ مِنۡ تَسۡنِيۡمٍۙ‏

Wa Mizājuhu Min Tasnīmin

And its mixture is of Tasneem

٢٨

عَيۡنًا يَّشۡرَبُ بِهَا الۡمُقَرَّبُوۡنَؕ‏

Aynāan Yashrabu Bihā Al-Muqarrabūna

A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink

٢٩

اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اَجۡرَمُوۡا كَانُوۡا مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا يَضۡحَكُوۡنَؗۖ‏

Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Ajramū Kānū Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Yađĥakūna

Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed

٣٠

وَاِذَا مَرُّوۡا بِهِمۡ يَتَغَامَزُوۡنَؗۖ‏

Wa 'Idhā Marrū Bihim Yataghāmazūna

And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances

٣١

وَاِذَا انۡقَلَبُوۡ٘ا اِلٰ٘ي اَهۡلِهِمُ انۡقَلَبُوۡا فَكِهِيۡنَؗۖ‏

Wa 'Idhā Anqalabū 'Ilá 'Ahlihimu Anqalabū Fakihīna

And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting

٣٢

وَاِذَا رَاَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوۡ٘ا اِنَّ هٰ٘ؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّوۡنَۙ‏

Wa 'Idhā Ra'awhum Qālū 'Inna Hā'uulā' Lađāllūna

And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost

٣٣

وَمَا٘ اُرۡسِلُوۡا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حٰفِظِيۡنَؕ‏

Wa Mā 'Ursilū `Alayhim Ĥāfižīna

But they had not been sent as guardians over them

٣٤

فَالۡيَوۡمَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مِنَ الۡكُفَّارِ يَضۡحَكُوۡنَۙ‏

Fālyawma Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Mina Al-Kuffāri Yađĥakūna

So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers

٣٥

عَلَي الۡاَرَآئِكِۙ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَؕ‏

Alá Al-'Arā'iki Yanžurūna

On adorned couches, observing

٣٦

هَلۡ ثُوِّبَ الۡكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوۡا يَفۡعَلُوۡنَࣖ‏

Hal Thūwiba Al-Kuffāru Mā Kānū Yaf`alūna

Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do

صَدَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-ʿaẓīm

Allah, the Magnificent, has spoken the truth.
