اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انۡفَطَرَتۡۙ‏

Idhā As-Samā'u Anfaţarat

When the sky breaks apart

وَاِذَا الۡكَوَاكِبُ انۡتَثَرَتۡۙ‏

Wa 'Idhā Al-Kawākibu Antatharat

And when the stars fall, scattering

وَاِذَا الۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡۙ‏

Wa 'Idhā Al-Biĥāru Fujjirat

And when the seas are erupted

وَاِذَا الۡقُبُوۡرُ بُعۡثِرَتۡۙ‏

Wa 'Idhā Al-Qubūru Bu`thirat

And when the [contents of] graves are scattered

عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَاَخَّرَتۡؕ‏

Alimat Nafsun Mā Qaddamat Wa 'Akhkharat

A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back

يٰ٘اَيُّهَا الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الۡكَرِيۡمِۙ‏

Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-'Insānu Mā Gharraka Birabbika Al-Karīmi

O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous

الَّذِيۡ خَلَقَكَ فَسَوّٰىكَ فَعَدَلَكَۙ‏

Al-Ladhī Khalaqaka Fasawwāka Fa`adalaka

Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you

فِيۡ٘ اَيِّ صُوۡرَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَؕ‏

Fī 'Ayyi Şūratin Mā Shā'a Rakkabaka

In whatever form He willed has He assembled you

كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ بِالدِّيۡنِۙ‏

Kallā Bal Tukadhibūna Bid-Dīni

No! But you deny the Recompense

وَاِنَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَحٰفِظِيۡنَۙ‏

Wa 'Inna `Alaykum Laĥāfižīna

And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers

كِرَامًا كٰتِبِيۡنَۙ‏

Kirāmāan Kātibīna

Noble and recording

يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ مَا تَفۡعَلُوۡنَ

Ya`lamūna Mā Taf`alūna

They know whatever you do

اِنَّ الۡاَبۡرَارَ لَفِيۡ نَعِيۡمٍۙ‏

Inna Al-'Abrāra Lafī Na`īmin

Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure

وَّاِنَّ الۡفُجَّارَ لَفِيۡ جَحِيۡمٍۙ‏

Wa 'Inna Al-Fujjāra Lafī Jaĥīmin

And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire

يَّصۡلَوۡنَهَا يَوۡمَ الدِّيۡنِ

Yaşlawnahā Yawma Ad-Dīni

They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense

وَمَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا بِغَآئِبِيۡنَؕ‏

Wa Mā Hum `Anhā Bighā'ibīna

And never therefrom will they be absent

وَمَا٘ اَدۡرٰىكَ مَا يَوۡمُ الدِّيۡنِۙ‏

Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Yawmu Ad-Dīni

And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense

ثُمَّ مَا٘ اَدۡرٰىكَ مَا يَوۡمُ الدِّيۡنِؕ‏

Thumma Mā 'Adrāka Mā Yawmu Ad-Dīni

Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense

يَوۡمَ لَا تَمۡلِكُ نَفۡسٌ لِّنَفۡسٍ شَيۡـًٔاؕ وَالۡاَمۡرُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ لِّلّٰهِࣖ‏

Yawma Lā Tamliku Nafsun Linafsin Shay'āan Wa Al-'Amru Yawma'idhin Lillāhi

It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah
