وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الۡبُرُوۡجِۙ‏

Wa As-Samā'i Dhāti Al-Burūji

By the sky containing great stars

وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡمَوۡعُوۡدِۙ‏

Wa Al-Yawmi Al-Maw`ūdi

And [by] the promised Day

وَشَاهِدٍ وَّمَشۡهُوۡدٍؕ‏

Wa Shāhidin Wa Mash/hūdin

And [by] the witness and what is witnessed

قُتِلَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡاُخۡدُوۡدِۙ‏

Qutila 'Aşĥābu Al-'Ukhdūdi

Cursed were the companions of the trench

النَّارِ ذَاتِ الۡوَقُوۡدِۙ‏

An-Nāri Dhāti Al-Waqūdi

[Containing] the fire full of fuel

اِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا قُعُوۡدٌۙ‏

Idh Hum `Alayhā Qu`ūdun

When they were sitting near it

وَّهُمۡ عَلٰي مَا يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ بِالۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ شُهُوۡدٌؕ‏

Wa Hum `Alá Mā Yaf`alūna Bil-Mu'uminīna Shuhūdun

And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses

وَمَا نَقَمُوۡا مِنۡهُمۡ اِلَّا٘ اَنۡ يُّؤۡمِنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡحَمِيۡدِۙ‏

Wa Mā Naqamū Minhum 'Illā 'An Yu'uminū Billāhi Al-`Azīzi Al-Ĥamīdi

And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy

الَّذِيۡ لَهٗ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٰي كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ شَهِيۡدٌؕ‏

Al-Ladhī Lahu Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Shahīdun

To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness

اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ فَتَنُوا الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ وَالۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَتُوۡبُوۡا فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ الۡحَرِيۡقِؕ‏

Inna Al-Ladhīna Fatanū Al-Mu'uminīna Wa Al-Mu'umināti Thumma Lam Yatūbū Falahum `Adhābu Jahannama Wa Lahum `Adhābu Al-Ĥarīqi

Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire

اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنّٰتٌ تَجۡرِيۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُؕ ذٰلِكَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡكَبِيۡرُؕ‏

Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Lahum Jannātun Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Dhālika Al-Fawzu Al-Kabīru

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment

اِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيۡدٌؕ‏

Inna Baţsha Rabbika Lashadīdun

Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe

اِنَّهٗ هُوَ يُبۡدِئُ وَيُعِيۡدُۚ‏

Innahu Huwa Yubdi'u Wa Yu`īdu

Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats

وَهُوَ الۡغَفُوۡرُ الۡوَدُوۡدُۙ‏

Wa Huwa Al-Ghafūru Al-Wadūdu

And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate

ذُو الۡعَرۡشِ الۡمَجِيۡدُۙ‏

Dhū Al-`Arshi Al-Majīdu

Honorable Owner of the Throne

فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيۡدُؕ‏

Fa``ālun Limā Yurīdu

Effecter of what He intends

هَلۡ اَتٰىكَ حَدِيۡثُ الۡجُنُوۡدِۙ‏

Hal 'Atāka Ĥadīthu Al-Junūdi

Has there reached you the story of the soldiers

فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُوۡدَؕ‏

Fir`awna Wa Thamūda

[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud

بَلِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا فِيۡ تَكۡذِيۡبٍۙ‏

Bali Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Fī Takdhībin

But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial

وَّاللّٰهُ مِنۡ وَّرَآئِهِمۡ مُّحِيۡطٌۚ‏

Wa Allāhu Min Warā'ihim Muĥīţun

While Allah encompasses them from behind

بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡاٰنٌ مَّجِيۡدٌۙ‏

Bal Huwa Qur'ānun Majīdun

But this is an honored Qur'an

فِيۡ لَوۡحٍ مَّحۡفُوۡظٍࣖ‏

Fī Lawĥin Maĥfūžin

[Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate
