حٰمٓۚ‏

Ĥā-Mīm

Ha, Meem

٢

تَنۡزِيۡلُ الۡكِتٰبِ مِنَ اللّٰهِ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡحَكِيۡمِ

Tanzīlu Al-Kitābi Mina Allāhi Al-`Azīzi Al-Ĥakīmi

The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise

٣

مَا خَلَقۡنَا السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا٘ اِلَّا بِالۡحَقِّ وَاَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّيؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا عَمَّا٘ اُنۡذِرُوۡا مُعۡرِضُوۡنَ

Mā Khalaqnā As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Ajalin Musammáan Wa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū `Ammā 'Undhirū Mu`riđūna

We did not create the heavens and earth and what is between them except in truth and [for] a specified term. But those who disbelieve, from that of which they are warned, are turning away

٤

قُلۡ اَرَءَيۡتُمۡ مَّا تَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ اَرُوۡنِيۡ مَاذَا خَلَقُوۡا مِنَ الۡاَرۡضِ اَمۡ لَهُمۡ شِرۡكٌ فِي السَّمٰوٰتِؕ اِيۡتُوۡنِيۡ بِكِتٰبٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِ هٰذَا٘ اَوۡ اَثٰرَةٍ مِّنۡ عِلۡمٍ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ

Qul 'Ara'aytum Mā Tad`ūna Min Dūni Allāhi 'Arūnī Mādhā Khalaqū Mina Al-'Arđi 'Am Lahum Shirkun Fī As-Samāwāti Ai'tūnī Bikitābin Min Qabli Hādhā 'Aw 'Athāratin Min `Ilmin 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna

Say, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered that which you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth; or did they have partnership in [creation of] the heavens? Bring me a scripture [revealed] before this or a [remaining] trace of knowledge, if you should be truthful

٥

وَمَنۡ اَضَلُّ مِمَّنۡ يَّدۡعُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ مَنۡ لَّا يَسۡتَجِيۡبُ لَهٗ٘ اِلٰي يَوۡمِ الۡقِيٰمَةِ وَهُمۡ عَنۡ دُعَآئِهِمۡ غٰفِلُوۡنَ

Wa Man 'Ađallu Mimman Yad`ū Min Dūni Allāhi Man Lā Yastajību Lahu 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati Wa Hum `An Du`ā'ihim Ghāfilūna

And who is more astray than he who invokes besides Allah those who will not respond to him until the Day of Resurrection, and they, of their invocation, are unaware

٦

وَاِذَا حُشِرَ النَّاسُ كَانُوۡا لَهُمۡ اَعۡدَآءً وَّكَانُوۡا بِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ كٰفِرِيۡنَ

Wa 'Idhā Ĥushira An-Nāsu Kānū Lahum 'A`dā'an Wa Kānū Bi`ibādatihim Kāfirīna

And when the people are gathered [that Day], they [who were invoked] will be enemies to them, and they will be deniers of their worship

٧

وَاِذَا تُتۡلٰي عَلَيۡهِمۡ اٰيٰتُنَا بَيِّنٰتٍ قَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا لِلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡۙ هٰذَا سِحۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌؕ‏

Wa 'Idhā Tutlá `Alayhim 'Āyātunā Bayyinātin Qāla Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lilĥaqqi Lammā Jā'ahum Hādhā Siĥrun Mubīnun

And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, "This is obvious magic

٨

اَمۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ افۡتَرٰىهُؕ قُلۡ اِنِ افۡتَرَيۡتُهٗ فَلَا تَمۡلِكُوۡنَ لِيۡ مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَيۡـًٔاؕ هُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تُفِيۡضُوۡنَ فِيۡهِؕ كَفٰي بِهٖ شَهِيۡدًاۭ بَيۡنِيۡ وَبَيۡنَكُمۡؕ وَهُوَ الۡغَفُوۡرُ الرَّحِيۡمُ

Am Yaqūlūna Aftarāhu Qul 'Ini Aftaraytuhu Falā Tamlikūna Lī Mina Allāhi Shay'āan Huwa 'A`lamu Bimā Tufīđūna Fīhi Kafá Bihi Shahīdāan Baynī Wa Baynakum Wa Huwa Al-Ghafūru Ar-Raĥīmu

Or do they say, "He has invented it?" Say, "If I have invented it, you will not possess for me [the power of protection] from Allah at all. He is most knowing of that in which you are involved. Sufficient is He as Witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving the Merciful

٩

قُلۡ مَا كُنۡتُ بِدۡعًا مِّنَ الرُّسُلِ وَمَا٘ اَدۡرِيۡ مَا يُفۡعَلُ بِيۡ وَلَا بِكُمۡؕ اِنۡ اَتَّبِعُ اِلَّا مَا يُوۡحٰ٘ي اِلَيَّ وَمَا٘ اَنَا اِلَّا نَذِيۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ

Qul Mā Kuntu Bid`āan Mina Ar-Rusuli Wa Mā 'Adrī Mā Yuf`alu Bī Wa Lā Bikum 'In 'Attabi`u 'Illā Mā Yūĥá 'Ilayya Wa Mā 'Anā 'Illā Nadhīrun Mubīnun

Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner

١٠

قُلۡ اَرَءَيۡتُمۡ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰهِ وَكَفَرۡتُمۡ بِهٖ وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٌ مِّنۭۡ بَنِيۡ٘ اِسۡرَآءِيۡلَ عَلٰي مِثۡلِهٖ فَاٰمَنَ وَاسۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَهۡدِي الۡقَوۡمَ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَࣖ‏

Qul 'Ara'aytum 'In Kāna Min `Indi Allāhi Wa Kafartum Bihi Wa Shahida Shāhidun Min Banī 'Isrā'īla `Alá Mithlihi Fa'āmana Wa Astakbartum 'Inna Allāha Lā Yahdī Al-Qawma Až-Žālimīna

Say, "Have you considered: if the Qur'an was from Allah, and you disbelieved in it while a witness from the Children of Israel has testified to something similar and believed while you were arrogant...?" Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people

١١

وَقَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا لِلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَوۡ كَانَ خَيۡرًا مَّا سَبَقُوۡنَا٘ اِلَيۡهِؕ وَاِذۡ لَمۡ يَهۡتَدُوۡا بِهٖ فَسَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ هٰذَا٘ اِفۡكٌ قَدِيۡمٌ

Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lilladhīna 'Āmanū Law Kāna Khayrāan Mā Sabaqūnā 'Ilayhi Wa 'Idh Lam Yahtadū Bihi Fasayaqūlūna Hādhā 'Ifkun Qadīmun

And those who disbelieve say of those who believe, "If it had [truly] been good, they would not have preceded us to it." And when they are not guided by it, they will say, "This is an ancient falsehood

١٢

وَمِنۡ قَبۡلِهٖ كِتٰبُ مُوۡسٰ٘ي اِمَامًا وَّرَحۡمَةًؕ وَهٰذَا كِتٰبٌ مُّصَدِّقٌ لِّسَانًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّيُنۡذِرَ الَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡاࣗۖ وَبُشۡرٰي لِلۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ

Wa Min Qablihi Kitābu Mūsá 'Imāmāan Wa Raĥmatan Wa Hadhā Kitābun Muşaddiqun Lisānāan `Arabīyāan Liyundhira Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Wa Bushrá Lilmuĥsinīna

And before it was the scripture of Moses to lead and as a mercy. And this is a confirming Book in an Arabic tongue to warn those who have wronged and as good tidings to the doers of good

١٣

اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ قَالُوۡا رَبُّنَا اللّٰهُ ثُمَّ اسۡتَقَامُوۡا فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُوۡنَۚ‏

Inna Al-Ladhīna Qālū Rabbunā Allāhu Thumma Astaqāmū Falā Khawfun `Alayhim Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna

Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah," and then remained on a right course - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve

١٤

اُولٰٓئِكَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡجَنَّةِ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَاۚ جَزَآءًۭ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ

Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu Al-Jannati Khālidīna Fīhā Jazā'an Bimā Kānū Ya`malūna

Those are the companions of Paradise, abiding eternally therein as reward for what they used to do

١٥

وَوَصَّيۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ بِوَالِدَيۡهِ اِحۡسٰنًاؕ حَمَلَتۡهُ اُمُّهٗ كُرۡهًا وَّوَضَعَتۡهُ كُرۡهًاؕ وَحَمۡلُهٗ وَفِصٰلُهٗ ثَلٰثُوۡنَ شَهۡرًاؕ حَتّٰ٘ي اِذَا بَلَغَ اَشُدَّهٗ وَبَلَغَ اَرۡبَعِيۡنَ سَنَةًۙ قَالَ رَبِّ اَوۡزِعۡنِيۡ٘ اَنۡ اَشۡكُرَ نِعۡمَتَكَ الَّتِيۡ٘ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلٰي وَالِدَيَّ وَاَنۡ اَعۡمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرۡضٰىهُ وَاَصۡلِحۡ لِيۡ فِيۡ ذُرِّيَّتِيۡۚؕ اِنِّيۡ تُبۡتُ اِلَيۡكَ وَاِنِّيۡ مِنَ الۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَ

Wa Waşşaynā Al-'Insāna Biwālidayhi 'Iĥsānāan Ĥamalat/hu 'Ummuhu Kurhāan Wa Wađa`at/hu Kurhāan Wa Ĥamluhu Wa Fişāluhu Thalāthūna Shahrāan Ĥattá 'Idhā Balagha 'Ashuddahu Wa Balagha 'Arba`īna Sanatan Qāla Rabbi 'Awzi`nī 'An 'Ashkura Ni`mataka Allatī 'An`amta `Alayya Wa `Alá Wa A-Dayya Wa 'An 'A`mala Şāliĥāan Tarđāhu Wa 'Aşliĥ Lī Fī Dhurrīyatī 'Innī Tubtu 'Ilayka Wa 'Innī Mina Al-Muslimīna

And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims

١٦

اُولٰٓئِكَ الَّذِيۡنَ نَتَقَبَّلُ عَنۡهُمۡ اَحۡسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوۡا وَنَتَجَاوَزُ عَنۡ سَيِّاٰتِهِمۡ فِيۡ٘ اَصۡحٰبِ الۡجَنَّةِؕ وَعۡدَ الصِّدۡقِ الَّذِيۡ كَانُوۡا يُوۡعَدُوۡنَ

Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Nataqabbalu `Anhum 'Aĥsana Mā `Amilū Wa Natajāwazu `An Sayyi'ātihim Fī 'Aşĥābi Al-Jannati Wa`da Aş-Şidqi Al-Ladhī Kānū Yū`adūna

Those are the ones from whom We will accept the best of what they did and overlook their misdeeds, [their being] among the companions of Paradise. [That is] the promise of truth which they had been promised

١٧

وَالَّذِيۡ قَالَ لِوَالِدَيۡهِ اُفٍّ لَّكُمَا٘ اَتَعِدٰنِنِيۡ٘ اَنۡ اُخۡرَجَ وَقَدۡ خَلَتِ الۡقُرُوۡنُ مِنۡ قَبۡلِيۡۚ وَهُمَا يَسۡتَغِيۡثٰنِ اللّٰهَ وَيۡلَكَ اٰمِنۡࣗۖ اِنَّ وَعۡدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّۚ فَيَقُوۡلُ مَا هٰذَا٘ اِلَّا٘ اَسَاطِيۡرُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ

Wa Al-Ladhī Qāla Liwālidayhi 'Uffin Lakumā 'Ata`idāninī 'An 'Ukhraja Wa Qad Khalati Al-Qurūnu Min Qablī Wa Humā Yastaghīthāni Allāha Waylaka 'Āmin 'Inna Wa`da Allāhi Ĥaqqun Fayaqūlu Mā Hādhā 'Illā 'Asāţīru Al-'Awwalīna

But one who says to his parents, "Uff to you; do you promise me that I will be brought forth [from the earth] when generations before me have already passed on [into oblivion]?" while they call to Allah for help [and to their son], "Woe to you! Believe! Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth." But he says, "This is not but legends of the former people

١٨

اُولٰٓئِكَ الَّذِيۡنَ حَقَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡقَوۡلُ فِيۡ٘ اُمَمٍ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ وَالۡاِنۡسِؕ اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا خٰسِرِيۡنَ

Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Ĥaqqa `Alayhimu Al-Qawlu Fī 'Umamin Qad Khalat Min Qablihim Mina Al-Jinni Wa Al-'Insi 'Innahum Kānū Khāsirīna

Those are the ones upon whom the word has come into effect, [who will be] among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers

١٩

وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجٰتٌ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوۡاۚ وَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمۡ اَعۡمَالَهُمۡ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُوۡنَ

Wa Likullin Darajātun Mimmā `Amilū Wa Liyuwaffiyahum 'A`mālahum Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna

And for all there are degrees [of reward and punishment] for what they have done, and [it is] so that He may fully compensate them for their deeds, and they will not be wronged

٢٠

وَيَوۡمَ يُعۡرَضُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا عَلَي النَّارِؕ اَذۡهَبۡتُمۡ طَيِّبٰتِكُمۡ فِيۡ حَيَاتِكُمُ الدُّنۡيَا وَاسۡتَمۡتَعۡتُمۡ بِهَاۚ فَالۡيَوۡمَ تُجۡزَوۡنَ عَذَابَ الۡهُوۡنِ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَسۡتَكۡبِرُوۡنَ فِي الۡاَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ الۡحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَفۡسُقُوۡنَࣖ‏

Wa Yawma Yu`rađu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū `Alá An-Nāri 'Adh/habtum Ţayyibātikum Fī Ĥayātikumu Ad-Dunyā Wa Astamta`tum Bihā Fālyawma Tujzawna `Adhāba Al-Hūni Bimā Kuntum Tastakbirūna Fī Al-'Arđi Bighayri Al-Ĥaqqi Wa Bimā Kuntum Tafsuqūna

And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "You exhausted your pleasures during your worldly life and enjoyed them, so this Day you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation because you were arrogant upon the earth without right and because you were defiantly disobedient

٢١

وَاذۡكُرۡ اَخَا عَادٍ اِذۡ اَنۡذَرَ قَوۡمَهٗ بِالۡاَحۡقَافِ وَقَدۡ خَلَتِ النُّذُرُ مِنۭۡ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهٖ٘ اَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوۡ٘ا اِلَّا اللّٰهَؕ اِنِّيۡ٘ اَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيۡمٍ

Wa Adhkur 'Akhā `Ādin 'Idh 'Andhara Qawmahu Bil-'Aĥqāfi Wa Qad Khalati An-Nudhuru Min Bayni Yadayhi Wa Min Khalfihi 'Allā Ta`budū 'Illā Allāha 'Innī 'Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin

And mention, [O Muhammad], the brother of 'Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf - and warners had already passed on before him and after him - [saying], "Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day

٢٢

قَالُوۡ٘ا اَجِئۡتَنَا لِتَاۡفِكَنَا عَنۡ اٰلِهَتِنَاۚ فَاۡتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا٘ اِنۡ كُنۡتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيۡنَ

Qālū 'Aji'tanā Lita'fikanā `An 'Ālihatinā Fa'tinā Bimā Ta`idunā 'In Kunta Mina Aş-Şādiqīna

They said, "Have you come to delude us away from our gods? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful

٢٣

قَالَ اِنَّمَا الۡعِلۡمُ عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِؗ وَاُبَلِّغُكُمۡ مَّا٘ اُرۡسِلۡتُ بِهٖ وَلٰكِنِّيۡ٘ اَرٰىكُمۡ قَوۡمًا تَجۡهَلُوۡنَ

Qāla 'Innamā Al-`Ilmu `Inda Allāhi Wa 'Uballighukum Mā 'Ursiltu Bihi Wa Lakinnī 'Arākum Qawmāan Tajhalūna

He said, "Knowledge [of its time] is only with Allah, and I convey to you that with which I was sent; but I see you [to be] a people behaving ignorantly

٢٤

فَلَمَّا رَاَوۡهُ عَارِضًا مُّسۡتَقۡبِلَ اَوۡدِيَتِهِمۡۙ قَالُوۡا هٰذَا عَارِضٌ مُّمۡطِرُنَاؕ بَلۡ هُوَ مَا اسۡتَعۡجَلۡتُمۡ بِهٖؕ رِيۡحٌ فِيۡهَا عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌۙ‏

Falammā Ra'awhu `Āriđāan Mustaqbila 'Awdiyatihim Qālū Hādhā `Āriđun Mumţirunā Bal Huwa Mā Asta`jaltum Bihi Rīĥun Fīhā `Adhābun 'Alīmun

And when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Rather, it is that for which you were impatient: a wind, within it a painful punishment

٢٥

تُدَمِّرُ كُلَّ شَيۡءٍۭ بِاَمۡرِ رَبِّهَا فَاَصۡبَحُوۡا لَا يُرٰ٘ي اِلَّا مَسٰكِنُهُمۡؕ كَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي الۡقَوۡمَ الۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ

Tudammiru Kulla Shay'in Bi'amri Rabbihā Fa'aşbaĥū Lā Yurá 'Illā Masākinuhum Kadhālika Najzī Al-Qawma Al-Mujrimīna

Destroying everything by command of its Lord. And they became so that nothing was seen [of them] except their dwellings. Thus do We recompense the criminal people

٢٦

وَلَقَدۡ مَكَّنّٰهُمۡ فِيۡمَا٘ اِنۡ مَّكَّنّٰكُمۡ فِيۡهِ وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُمۡ سَمۡعًا وَّاَبۡصَارًا وَّاَفۡـِٕدَةًؗۖ فَمَا٘ اَغۡنٰي عَنۡهُمۡ سَمۡعُهُمۡ وَلَا٘ اَبۡصَارُهُمۡ وَلَا٘ اَفۡـِٕدَتُهُمۡ مِّنۡ شَيۡءٍ اِذۡ كَانُوۡا يَجۡحَدُوۡنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَحَاقَ بِهِمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُوۡنَࣖ‏

Wa Laqad Makkannāhum Fīmā 'In Makkannākum Fīhi Wa Ja`alnā Lahum Sam`āan Wa 'Abşārāan Wa 'Af'idatan Famā 'Aghná `Anhum Sam`uhum Wa Lā 'Abşāruhum Wa Lā 'Af'idatuhum Min Shay'in 'Idh Kānū Yajĥadūna Bi'āyāti Allāhi Wa Ĥāqa Bihim Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn

And We had certainly established them in such as We have not established you, and We made for them hearing and vision and hearts. But their hearing and vision and hearts availed them not from anything [of the punishment] when they were [continually] rejecting the signs of Allah; and they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule

٢٧

وَلَقَدۡ اَهۡلَكۡنَا مَا حَوۡلَكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡقُرٰي وَصَرَّفۡنَا الۡاٰيٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُوۡنَ

Wa Laqad 'Ahlaknā Mā Ĥawlakum Mina Al-Qurá Wa Şarrafnā Al-'Āyāti La`allahum Yarji`ūna

And We have already destroyed what surrounds you of [those] cities, and We have diversified the signs [or verses] that perhaps they might return [from disbelief]

٢٨

فَلَوۡلَا نَصَرَهُمُ الَّذِيۡنَ اتَّخَذُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ قُرۡبَانًا اٰلِهَةًؕ بَلۡ ضَلُّوۡا عَنۡهُمۡۚ وَذٰلِكَ اِفۡكُهُمۡ وَمَا كَانُوۡا يَفۡتَرُوۡنَ

Falawlā Naşarahumu Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Min Dūni Allāhi Qurbānāan 'Ālihatan Bal Đallū `Anhum Wa Dhalika 'Ifkuhum Wa Mā Kānū Yaftarūna

Then why did those they took besides Allah as deities by which to approach [Him] not aid them? But they had strayed from them. And that was their falsehood and what they were inventing

٢٩

وَاِذۡ صَرَفۡنَا٘ اِلَيۡكَ نَفَرًا مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ يَسۡتَمِعُوۡنَ الۡقُرۡاٰنَۚ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوۡهُ قَالُوۡ٘ا اَنۡصِتُوۡاۚ فَلَمَّا قُضِيَ وَلَّوۡا اِلٰي قَوۡمِهِمۡ مُّنۡذِرِيۡنَ

Wa 'Idh Şarafnā 'Ilayka Nafarāan Mina Al-Jinni Yastami`ūna Al-Qur'āna Falammā Ĥađarūhu Qālū 'Anşitū Falammā Quđiya Wa Llaw 'Ilá Qawmihim Mundhirīna

And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur'an. And when they attended it, they said, "Listen quietly." And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners

٣٠

قَالُوۡا يٰقَوۡمَنَا٘ اِنَّا سَمِعۡنَا كِتٰبًا اُنۡزِلَ مِنۭۡ بَعۡدِ مُوۡسٰي مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ يَهۡدِيۡ٘ اِلَي الۡحَقِّ وَاِلٰي طَرِيۡقٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ

Qālū Yā Qawmanā 'Innā Sami`nā Kitābāan 'Unzila Min Ba`di Mūsá Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayhi Yahdī 'Ilá Al-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Ilá Ţarīqin Mustaqīmin

They said, "O our people, indeed we have heard a [recited] Book revealed after Moses confirming what was before it which guides to the truth and to a straight path

٣١

يٰقَوۡمَنَا٘ اَجِيۡبُوۡا دَاعِيَ اللّٰهِ وَاٰمِنُوۡا بِهٖ يَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ ذُنُوۡبِكُمۡ وَيُجِرۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ اَلِيۡمٍ

Yā Qawmanā 'Ajībū Dā`iya Allāhi Wa 'Āminū Bihi Yaghfir Lakum Min Dhunūbikum Wa Yujirkum Min `Adhābin 'Alīmin

O our people, respond to the Messenger of Allah and believe in him; Allah will forgive for you your sins and protect you from a painful punishment

٣٢

وَمَنۡ لَّا يُجِبۡ دَاعِيَ اللّٰهِ فَلَيۡسَ بِمُعۡجِزٍ فِي الۡاَرۡضِ وَلَيۡسَ لَهٗ مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖ٘ اَوۡلِيَآءُؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ فِيۡ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ

Wa Man Lā Yujib Dā`iya Allāhi Falaysa Bimu`jizin Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Laysa Lahu Min Dūnihi 'Awliyā'u 'Ūlā'ika Fī Đalālin Mubīnin

But he who does not respond to the Caller of Allah will not cause failure [to Him] upon earth, and he will not have besides Him any protectors. Those are in manifest error

٣٣

اَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ الَّذِيۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَلَمۡ يَعۡيَ بِخَلۡقِهِنَّ بِقٰدِرٍ عَلٰ٘ي اَنۡ يُّحۡيِۦَ الۡمَوۡتٰيؕ بَلٰ٘ي اِنَّهٗ عَلٰي كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ

Awalam Yaraw 'Anna Allāha Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Lam Ya`ya Bikhalqihinna Biqādirin `Alá 'An Yuĥyiya Al-Mawtá Balá 'Innahu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun

Do they not see that Allah, who created the heavens and earth and did not fail in their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Yes. Indeed, He is over all things competent

٣٤

وَيَوۡمَ يُعۡرَضُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا عَلَي النَّارِؕ اَلَيۡسَ هٰذَا بِالۡحَقِّؕ قَالُوۡا بَلٰي وَرَبِّنَاؕ قَالَ فَذُوۡقُوا الۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُوۡنَ

Wa Yawma Yu`rađu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū `Alá An-Nāri 'Alaysa Hādhā Bil-Ĥaqqi Qālū Balá Wa Rabbinā Qāla Fadhūqū Al-`Adhāba Bimā Kuntum Takfurūna

And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will say, "Then taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve

٣٥

فَاصۡبِرۡ كَمَا صَبَرَ اُولُوا الۡعَزۡمِ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسۡتَعۡجِلۡ لَّهُمۡؕ كَاَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَ مَا يُوۡعَدُوۡنَۙ لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوۡ٘ا اِلَّا سَاعَةً مِّنۡ نَّهَارٍؕ بَلٰغٌۚ فَهَلۡ يُهۡلَكُ اِلَّا الۡقَوۡمُ الۡفٰسِقُوۡنَࣖ‏

Fāşbir Kamā Şabara 'Ūlū Al-`Azmi Mina Ar-Rusuli Wa Lā Tasta`jil Lahum Ka'annahum Yawma Yarawna Mā Yū`adūna Lam Yalbathū 'Illā Sā`atan Min Nahārin Balāghun Fahal Yuhlaku 'Illā Al-Qawmu Al-Fāsiqūna

So be patient, [O Muhammad], as were those of determination among the messengers and do not be impatient for them. It will be - on the Day they see that which they are promised - as though they had not remained [in the world] except an hour of a day. [This is] notification. And will [any] be destroyed except the defiantly disobedient people

صَدَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-ʿaẓīm

Allah, the Magnificent, has spoken the truth.
