١

وَالذّٰرِيٰتِ ذَرۡوًاۙ‏

Wa Adh-Dhāriyāti Dharwan

By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing

٢

فَالۡحٰمِلٰتِ وِقۡرًاۙ‏

Fālĥāmilāti Wiqrāan

And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water]

٣

فَالۡجٰرِيٰتِ يُسۡرًاۙ‏

Fāljāriyāti Yusrāan

And those [ships] sailing with ease

٤

فَالۡمُقَسِّمٰتِ اَمۡرًاۙ‏

Fālmuqassimāti 'Amrāan

And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter

٥

اِنَّمَا تُوۡعَدُوۡنَ لَصَادِقٌۙ‏

Innamā Tū`adūna Laşādiqun

Indeed, what you are promised is true

٦

وَّاِنَّ الدِّيۡنَ لَوَاقِعٌؕ‏

Wa 'Inna Ad-Dīna Lawāqi`un

And indeed, the recompense is to occur

٧

وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الۡحُبُكِۙ‏

Wa As-Samā'i Dhāti Al-Ĥubuki

By the heaven containing pathways

٨

اِنَّكُمۡ لَفِيۡ قَوۡلٍ مُّخۡتَلِفٍۙ‏

Innakum Lafī Qawlin Mukhtalifin

Indeed, you are in differing speech

٩

يُّؤۡفَكُ عَنۡهُ مَنۡ اُفِكَؕ‏

Yu'ufaku `Anhu Man 'Ufika

Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded

١٠

قُتِلَ الۡخَرّٰصُوۡنَۙ‏

Qutila Al-Kharrāşūna

Destroyed are the falsifiers

١١

الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ فِيۡ غَمۡرَةٍ سَاهُوۡنَۙ‏

Al-Ladhīna Hum Fī Ghamratin Sāhūna

Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless

١٢

يَسۡـَٔلُوۡنَ اَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ الدِّيۡنِؕ‏

Yas'alūna 'Ayyāna Yawmu Ad-Dīni

They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense

١٣

يَوۡمَ هُمۡ عَلَي النَّارِ يُفۡتَنُوۡنَ

Yawma Hum `Alá An-Nāri Yuftanūna

[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire

١٤

ذُوۡقُوۡا فِتۡنَتَكُمۡؕ هٰذَا الَّذِيۡ كُنۡتُمۡ بِهٖ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنَ

Dhūqū Fitnatakum Hādhā Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tasta`jilūna

[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient

١٥

اِنَّ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ فِيۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوۡنٍۙ‏

Inna Al-Muttaqīna Fī Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin

Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs

١٦

اٰخِذِيۡنَ مَا٘ اٰتٰىهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡؕ اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا قَبۡلَ ذٰلِكَ مُحۡسِنِيۡنَؕ‏

Ākhidhīna Mā 'Ātāhum Rabbuhum 'Innahum Kānū Qabla Dhālika Muĥsinīna

Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good

١٧

كَانُوۡا قَلِيۡلًا مِّنَ الَّيۡلِ مَا يَهۡجَعُوۡنَ

Kānū Qalīlāan Mina Al-Layli Mā Yahja`ūna

They used to sleep but little of the night

١٨

وَبِالۡاَسۡحَارِ هُمۡ يَسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡنَ

Wa Bil-'Asĥāri Hum Yastaghfirūna

And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness

١٩

وَفِيۡ٘ اَمۡوَالِهِمۡ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَالۡمَحۡرُوۡمِ

Wa Fī 'Amwālihim Ĥaqqun Lilssā'ili Wa Al-Maĥrūmi

And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived

٢٠

وَفِي الۡاَرۡضِ اٰيٰتٌ لِّلۡمُوۡقِنِيۡنَۙ‏

Wa Fī Al-'Arđi 'Āyātun Lilmūqinīna

And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]

٢١

وَفِيۡ٘ اَنۡفُسِكُمۡؕ اَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ

Wa Fī 'Anfusikum 'Afalā Tubşirūna

And in yourselves. Then will you not see

٢٢

وَفِي السَّمَآءِ رِزۡقُكُمۡ وَمَا تُوۡعَدُوۡنَ

Wa Fī As-Samā'i Rizqukum Wa Mā Tū`adūna

And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised

٢٣

فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَآءِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ اِنَّهٗ لَحَقٌّ مِّثۡلَ مَا٘ اَنَّكُمۡ تَنۡطِقُوۡنَࣖ‏

Fawarabbi As-Samā'i Wa Al-'Arđi 'Innahu Laĥaqqun Mithla Mā 'Annakum Tanţiqūna

Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking

٢٤

هَلۡ اَتٰىكَ حَدِيۡثُ ضَيۡفِ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ الۡمُكۡرَمِيۡنَۘ‏

Hal 'Atāka Ĥadīthu Đayfi 'Ibrāhīma Al-Mukramīna

Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham

٢٥

اِذۡ دَخَلُوۡا عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُوۡا سَلٰمًاؕ قَالَ سَلٰمٌۚ قَوۡمٌ مُّنۡكَرُوۡنَ

Idh Dakhalū `Alayhi Faqālū Salāmāan Qāla Salāmun Qawmun Munkarūna

When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown

٢٦

فَرَاغَ اِلٰ٘ي اَهۡلِهٖ فَجَآءَ بِعِجۡلٍ سَمِيۡنٍۙ‏

Farāgha 'Ilá 'Ahlihi Fajā'a Bi`ijlin Samīnin

Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf

٢٧

فَقَرَّبَهٗ٘ اِلَيۡهِمۡ قَالَ اَلَا تَاۡكُلُوۡنَؗ‏

Faqarrabahu 'Ilayhim Qāla 'Alā Ta'kulūna

And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat

٢٨

فَاَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِيۡفَةًؕ قَالُوۡا لَا تَخَفۡؕ وَبَشَّرُوۡهُ بِغُلٰمٍ عَلِيۡمٍ

Fa'awjasa Minhum Khīfatan Qālū Lā Takhaf Wa Basharūhu Bighulāmin `Alīmin

And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy

٢٩

فَاَقۡبَلَتِ امۡرَاَتُهٗ فِيۡ صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتۡ وَجۡهَهَا وَقَالَتۡ عَجُوۡزٌ عَقِيۡمٌ

Fa'aqbalati Amra'atuhu Fī Şarratin Faşakkat Wajhahā Wa Qālat `Ajūzun `Aqīmun

And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman

٣٠

قَالُوۡا كَذٰلِكِۙ قَالَ رَبُّكِؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡحَكِيۡمُ الۡعَلِيۡمُ

Qālū Kadhāliki Qāla Rabbuki 'Innahu Huwa Al-Ĥakīmu Al-`Alīmu

They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing

٣١

قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ اَيُّهَا الۡمُرۡسَلُوۡنَ

Qāla Famā Khaţbukum 'Ayyuhā Al-Mursalūna

[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers

٣٢

قَالُوۡ٘ا اِنَّا٘ اُرۡسِلۡنَا٘ اِلٰي قَوۡمٍ مُّجۡرِمِيۡنَۙ‏

Qālū 'Innā 'Ursilnā 'Ilá Qawmin Mujrimīna

They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

٣٣

لِنُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةً مِّنۡ طِيۡنٍۙ‏

Linursila `Alayhim Ĥijāratan Min Ţīnin

To send down upon them stones of clay

٣٤

مُّسَوَّمَةً عِنۡدَ رَبِّكَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِيۡنَ

Musawwamatan `Inda Rabbika Lilmusrifīna

Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors

٣٥

فَاَخۡرَجۡنَا مَنۡ كَانَ فِيۡهَا مِنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَۚ‏

Fa'akhrajnā Man Kāna Fīhā Mina Al-Mu'uminīna

So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers

٣٦

فَمَا وَجَدۡنَا فِيۡهَا غَيۡرَ بَيۡتٍ مِّنَ الۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَۚ‏

Famā Wajadnā Fīhā Ghayra Baytin Mina Al-Muslimīna

And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims

٣٧

وَتَرَكۡنَا فِيۡهَا٘ اٰيَةً لِّلَّذِيۡنَ يَخَافُوۡنَ الۡعَذَابَ الۡاَلِيۡمَؕ‏

Wa Taraknā Fīhā 'Āyatan Lilladhīna Yakhāfūna Al-`Adhāba Al-'Alīma

And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment

٣٨

وَفِيۡ مُوۡسٰ٘ي اِذۡ اَرۡسَلۡنٰهُ اِلٰي فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِسُلۡطٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ

Wa Fī Mūsá 'Idh 'Arsalnāhu 'Ilá Fir`awna Bisulţānin Mubīnin

And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority

٣٩

فَتَوَلّٰي بِرُكۡنِهٖ وَقَالَ سٰحِرٌ اَوۡ مَجۡنُوۡنٌ

Fatawallá Biruknihi Wa Qāla Sāĥirun 'Aw Majnūnun

But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman

٤٠

فَاَخَذۡنٰهُ وَجُنُوۡدَهٗ فَنَبَذۡنٰهُمۡ فِي الۡيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيۡمٌؕ‏

Fa'akhadhnāhu Wa Junūdahu Fanabadhnāhum Fī Al-Yammi Wa Huwa Mulīmun

So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy

٤١

وَفِيۡ عَادٍ اِذۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمُ الرِّيۡحَ الۡعَقِيۡمَۚ‏

Wa Fī `Ādin 'Idh 'Arsalnā `Alayhimu Ar-Rīĥa Al-`Aqīma

And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind

٤٢

مَا تَذَرُ مِنۡ شَيۡءٍ اَتَتۡ عَلَيۡهِ اِلَّا جَعَلَتۡهُ كَالرَّمِيۡمِؕ‏

Mā Tadharu Min Shay'in 'Atat `Alayhi 'Illā Ja`alat/hu Kālrramīmi

It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins

٤٣

وَفِيۡ ثَمُوۡدَ اِذۡ قِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ تَمَتَّعُوۡا حَتّٰي حِيۡنٍ

Wa Fī Thamūda 'Idh Qīla Lahum Tamatta`ū Ĥattá Ĥīnin

And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time

٤٤

فَعَتَوۡا عَنۡ اَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ فَاَخَذَتۡهُمُ الصّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمۡ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ

Fa`ataw `An 'Amri Rabbihim Fa'akhadhat/humu Aş-Şā`iqatu Wa Hum Yanžurūna

But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on

٤٥

فَمَا اسۡتَطَاعُوۡا مِنۡ قِيَامٍ وَّمَا كَانُوۡا مُنۡتَصِرِيۡنَۙ‏

Famā Astaţā`ū Min Qiyāmin Wa Mā Kānū Muntaşirīna

And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves

٤٦

وَقَوۡمَ نُوۡحٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلُؕ اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا قَوۡمًا فٰسِقِيۡنَࣖ‏

Wa Qawma Nūĥin Min Qablu 'Innahum Kānū Qawmāan Fāsiqīna

And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient

٤٧

وَالسَّمَآءَ بَنَيۡنٰهَا بِاَيۡىدٍ وَّاِنَّا لَمُوۡسِعُوۡنَ

Wa As-Samā'a Banaynāhā Bi'ayydin Wa 'Innā Lamūsi`ūna

And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander

٤٨

وَالۡاَرۡضَ فَرَشۡنٰهَا فَنِعۡمَ الۡمٰهِدُوۡنَ

Wa Al-'Arđa Farashnāhā Fani`ma Al-Māhidūna

And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer

٤٩

وَمِنۡ كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَا زَوۡجَيۡنِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ

Wa Min Kulli Shay'in Khalaqnā Zawjayni La`allakum Tadhakkarūna

And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember

٥٠

فَفِرُّوۡ٘ا اِلَي اللّٰهِؕ اِنِّيۡ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡهُ نَذِيۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌۚ‏

Fafirrū 'Ilá Allāhi 'Innī Lakum Minhu Nadhīrun Mubīnun

So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner

٥١

وَلَا تَجۡعَلُوۡا مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَؕ اِنِّيۡ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡهُ نَذِيۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ

Wa Lā Taj`alū Ma`a Allāhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara 'Innī Lakum Minhu Nadhīrun Mubīnun

And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner

٥٢

كَذٰلِكَ مَا٘ اَتَي الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ مِّنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ اِلَّا قَالُوۡا سَاحِرٌ اَوۡ مَجۡنُوۡنٌࣞ‏

Kadhālika Mā 'Atá Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Min Rasūlin 'Illā Qālū Sāĥirun 'Aw Majnūnun

Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman

٥٣

اَتَوَاصَوۡا بِهٖۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٌ طَاغُوۡنَۚ‏

Atawāşaw Bihi Bal Hum Qawmun Ţāghūna

Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people

٥٤

فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَمَا٘ اَنۡتَ بِمَلُوۡمٍؗ‏

Fatawalla `Anhum Famā 'Anta Bimalūmin

So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed

٥٥

وَّذَكِّرۡ فَاِنَّ الذِّكۡرٰي تَنۡفَعُ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ

Wa Dhakkir Fa'inna Adh-Dhikrá Tanfa`u Al-Mu'uminīna

And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers

٥٦

وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ الۡجِنَّ وَالۡاِنۡسَ اِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُوۡنِ

Wa Mā Khalaqtu Al-Jinna Wa Al-'Insa 'Illā Liya`budūni

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me

٥٧

مَا٘ اُرِيۡدُ مِنۡهُمۡ مِّنۡ رِّزۡقٍ وَّمَا٘ اُرِيۡدُ اَنۡ يُّطۡعِمُوۡنِ

Mā 'Urīdu Minhum Min Rizqin Wa Mā 'Urīdu 'An Yuţ`imūni

I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me

٥٨

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الۡقُوَّةِ الۡمَتِيۡنُ

Inna Allāha Huwa Ar-Razzāqu Dhū Al-Qūwati Al-Matīnu

Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength

٥٩

فَاِنَّ لِلَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا ذَنُوۡبًا مِّثۡلَ ذَنُوۡبِ اَصۡحٰبِهِمۡ فَلَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنِ

Fa'inna Lilladhīna Žalamū Dhanūbāan Mithla Dhanūbi 'Aşĥābihim Falā Yasta`jilūni

And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me

٦٠

فَوَيۡلٌ لِّلَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ يَّوۡمِهِمُ الَّذِيۡ يُوۡعَدُوۡنَࣖ‏

Fawaylun Lilladhīna Kafarū Min Yawmihimu Al-Ladhī Yū`adūna

And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised

صَدَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-ʿaẓīm

Allah, the Magnificent, has spoken the truth.
